Alix’s holiday single “December” is decorated with hints of nostalgic holiday sounds while keeping a different yet classic pop winter feel.
“December” is Alix’s first release where she is the singer, songwriter and the producer, writing the song from scratch in her home studio with similar stylings to Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Tate McRae, Maren Morris SZA and other bedroom pop artists.
California based singer, songwriter, Alix captivates listeners with her signature velvet tone and relatable, emotionally charged lyrics.
Silky melodies and straight forward lyrics compliment feel-good golden instrumentals, giving her a warm homemade sound. Her voice is a soothing embrace, wrapping around you with every note.
Raised in the creative atmosphere of the Bay Area and spending significant time in Los Angeles, Alix has always been immersed in artistic expression. Her versatility spans multiple creative fields, including singing, songwriting, drawing, painting, photography, videography and graphic art.​​

As the founder of her own record label and publishing company, Alix not only writes and records her own music but also crafts songs for other artists, offering a unique blend of creative vision and technical skill. Working mostly from her home studio, she handles every aspect of her music—from songwriting and vocal production to recording and creating the accompanying visuals.
BEHIND THE MAKING OF 'DECEMBER'
With “December” I wanted to capture the feeling of a cozy, comforting love that keeps you warm in the cold.
My goal was to create a love song for the holidays that captured the spirit while also being able to stand alone as a winter pop classic. Something subtly reminiscent of Christmas bells without being too obvious.
This is my first release where I am not only the singer and songwriter, but the producer as well. I started with lyrics and melodies, trying to capture the true warmth of love. After, I built the instrumental around my vocals, starting with keys, adding drums and finishing with strings.
From start to finish, I made the song in my bedroom and recorded the final vocals in my home studio. I tried to capture a comfort in my vocals that I wanted to portray in the lyrics as well.
I then sent off the song to be mixed and mastered by the talented Miklos Malek.
A song to last the winter and beyond, no matter the season, you’ll be dreaming of a long December like this one.

The lyrics are a message to whoever has a hold over your heart. You wish to be by their side, to tell them you love them and to hear their voice tell you the same because there is no sweeter sound. For any moments you are apart, the greatest gift would be to hold eachother again. All the holiday love songs suddenly make sense when it comes to them. You hold onto every cozy moment with them and hope they will last for as long as possible.
